How to read a before and after
Before-and-after photographs are the most manipulated images in this industry. Lighting, angle, expression, make-up and camera lens can all produce a “result” without any treatment happening at all. It is worth knowing what to look for, here or on any other clinic’s site.
Look for the same angle and the same lighting in both frames. Look for a neutral expression rather than a smile appearing in the “after”. Be sceptical of a change in make-up between the two. And be sceptical of results that look like a different person — the aim of good treatment is that you still look like you.
Individual results vary, and nobody can promise you a particular outcome. What you should expect is an honest assessment of what is achievable for your face before you spend anything.
Why there are no anti-wrinkle results here
Wrinkle-relaxing injections use a prescription-only medicine. UK advertising rules do not permit prescription-only medicines to be promoted to the public, and that includes before-and-after photographs. Any clinic showing you those images online is breaching those rules. We will show you relevant examples in person at your consultation.
