Terms

Booking, deposits and cancellation

The commercial terms, written plainly and published rather than mentioned once at the point of booking.

Consultations

A consultation is £30. If you go ahead with treatment, that comes off the cost. If you decide not to proceed, the fee covers the assessment time. There is no obligation to book treatment at or after a consultation.

Deposits

The deposit is £30. It secures your appointment and is deducted from the cost of your treatment — it is the same £30 as the consultation fee, not an additional charge. Deposits are held against the appointment time rather than the treatment, because that time cannot be resold at short notice.

Appointments are managed in Aesthetic Nurse Software, the clinical records and booking system used by the clinic. Your booking, medical history and consent are held there rather than in a message thread.

Cancelling or rescheduling

Please give at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to move or cancel an appointment. With that notice, your deposit moves with you to the new date. Below that, the deposit may be retained — one appointment is one patient, and a late cancellation is a slot nobody else could take.

If you are unwell, tell me. Nobody should feel pressured to attend an appointment while ill in order to protect a deposit, and that is handled sensibly.

Who can be treated

We do not treat anyone under 18. It has been a criminal offence in England since 1 October 2021 to administer injectable cosmetic treatment for a cosmetic purpose to a person under 18, or to arrange it. Date of birth is confirmed at booking and photographic identification may be requested.

Treatment is also declined during pregnancy and breastfeeding, where there is active infection at the treatment site, where a relevant medical condition makes it unsafe, and where I do not believe the treatment is clinically indicated or the desired result is safely achievable. See safety and standards.

Consent

Written consent is taken before any treatment, after a discussion of the risks, the alternatives — including doing nothing — and the realistic result. You will be given time to read it and ask questions rather than signing it in a rush at the door. You can withdraw consent at any point before treatment begins.

Photographs are taken only with separate, specific consent, and consent for clinical records is distinct from consent to publish. You can withdraw consent to publish at any time and the images come down.

Results and refunds

Individual results vary and no outcome can be guaranteed — anyone guaranteeing one is not being straight with you. What is guaranteed is an honest assessment beforehand and a review at two weeks.

If you are unhappy with a result, tell me at the review rather than living with it. Adjustments within a reasonable scope are made without further charge where that is the right clinical answer. Treatment already administered cannot be refunded, but that is a separate question from putting something right, and I would rather do the latter. If you want to raise a formal concern there is a published complaints procedure, and your statutory rights are unaffected by anything on this page.

Who provides the treatment

All treatments are provided by Ashleigh Trickett, Registered Nurse & Aesthetic Practitioner, at 9 Lilac Terrace, Stacksteads, Bacup, Lancashire OL13 8LG. Nobody else treats you and treatments are not delegated. See credentials and registrations.

Book a consultation

Consultations are £30, and that comes off the cost of your treatment if you go ahead. No pressure to book anything on the day — if you are not sure whether you want treatment at all, that is still a good reason to come and talk.
