Sunekos aftercare
Minimal downtime, but the first day matters — the injection points are open channels and what you put on them counts.
Ring rather than wait if you have
- Spreading redness, swelling that worsens after day two, or discharge
- Fever or feeling generally unwell
- A cold sore developing in or near the treated area
- Persistent lumps beyond two weeks
Call 07721 823933. I would far rather see you and find nothing than have you wait it out overnight. If you cannot reach me and you are worried, contact NHS 111 or attend your nearest emergency department.
01The first 24 hours
- Small raised bumps at each injection point are expected and usually flatten within a few hours to a day.
- Leave the area alone. No make-up over the injection points.
- Cleanse gently with lukewarm water and use only a bland moisturiser.
02The first week
- Bruising is possible, particularly around the eyes, and settles within a week.
- Results are gradual. Hydration and glow often show first; firmness and texture build across the course.
- Reintroduce active skincare after 48 hours, retinoids last.
