The chin does more work in a profile than almost any other feature, and a chin that sits slightly back makes the nose look larger, the jawline look softer and the neck look fuller. A small amount of well-placed product here frequently changes a profile more than treating any of those three directly would.
What it changes
Projection, so the profile balances. Length, where the lower third is short. Width and definition, which reads as a stronger jawline. And in many cases the apparent size of the nose, without touching it.
It is one of the treatments where I most often show people their own profile photograph, because the change is far more obvious from the side than from the front and it is easy to underestimate.
Assessment
The chin is assessed against the lips, the nose and the jawline rather than on its own — the same principle as everywhere else on the face.
Every treatment begins with a full-face assessment and an honest conversation. If I do not think a treatment is clinically indicated or right for you, I will say so and explain why — including when the answer is to do nothing.

- Will chin filler help my jawline?
- Frequently. Chin and jawline are treated as one unit, and improving projection at the chin often sharpens how the whole lower face reads.
- How long does it last?
- Usually 12 to 18 months. The chin is a stable area and firmer products are used here, so it lasts well.
- Can it help a double chin?
- It can improve the profile by improving projection, but it does not remove fat. If submental fat is the concern, that is a different treatment.
